Rules and Guidelines on Brotherhood ships.

National Rules

Garb:

A. You may wear any garb you choose as long as you adhere to DGBA requirements and/or your unit/realm guidlines. (at national events, DGBA req. take presedence).

B. When fighting as a member of (The Brotherhood of the Coast) in large battles, you must be wearing something to identify you as a pirate (eg-a pirate patch).

C. When fighting as a member of (The Brotherhood of the Coast) in large battles, you must be wearing a your group's sash so that we can identify you with that group and as a member of the Brotherhood.


Voting:

National unit voting is as follows-

A. When a topic is put forth, be it a new rule or a revision, all members may nominate their opinion.This can be done on myspace or by contacting your group's Speaker. Those nominations will be due at a specific and announced deadline.They will be available on the myspace group or by contacting Malcolm Darkblade at vizier@wowway.com .
All Speaker's will take these nominations to their respective units or realms for a vote.Voting will be done by individual groups and results returned to (Malcolm Darkblade) A.S.A.P. (please send them in within one week.) The results will be tallied by Malcolm and posted on the myspace group page.

B. "yay" or "nay" votes will be given a deadline and will only be voted on by officers and representatives.

Camp Rules:

Any rule is superceded by rules put forth by the host camp

A. Inter-camp arguments are to be taken to the highest officer available. if an officer is not available, the mattre is taken to the host camp's camp master or mistress. the ruling is to be obeyed until a final judgement is given be the highest officer(s).

B. Inter-personal problems will be dealt - a: quietly, b: outside of camp or c: not tolerated at all!!!!!

C. No stealing! all non-unit coolers are the property of the individual. If you want something, ask.

D. If you didn't cook, you clean. Cooks are exempt and NOT ALLOWED to clean after dinner.
    I. if it burns, burn it. cigarettes, aluminum, paper and food may be burned in designated areas.

E. Anyone who is not camping with the group must leave ALL weapons at the door. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!

F. You must bring you own weapons and armour to weapons check.

G. Everyone who drives must takes turns on supply runs.

H. No one is admitted during a meeting.

!!!anyone found breaking rules will be subject to punishment ranging from extra duties to leaving camp to permanant banishment from camping with the (Brotherhood of the Coast)!!!

Dues:

There are no dues as of yet, however if we institute them, it will be for camp food, alcohol, ice and water. The cost will be determined before an event and posted ahead of time.

The Pirate Code

I. The Meeting of The Brethren must only take place when all captains and the Pirate King/Queen is able to attend.

II. When in another Captain's territory (realm) respect him as if he/she were your Captain.

III. He who falls behind is left behind (on the battleground).

IV. Only the Pirate King/Queen is able to declare war on another Unit. When at war, whenever possible , target members of the unit in which the Brethren are at war with.

V. You must be a  pirate for Articles or the Pirates Code to apply.

VI.Anyone who wishes to engage in the Act of Parlay (speaking with the captain) shall be taken to the Pirate King/Queen or Captain with the most years in Dagorhir if the King/Queen is not available, after the current battle and shall not be harmed for any reason until the Parlay has taken place.

Articles for Rivendell 

I. Everyone has a equal Vote in affairs of Moment; and has equal title to each other's provisions unless specified by a Crew member.

II. Everyone who has taken part in a battle will have equal share, this will be enforced by the Quartermaster

III. When aboard , No person to game at cards or dice for money.

IV. When at a overnight event, Lights and Candles to be put out at 11 at night. If Any crew, after that hour, still wish to be awake, they are to do so by notification.

V. Everyone shall keep their Tools of the Trade clean, and fit for Service.

VI. To Desert the Ship, or your Quarters in Battle, is punished by Marooning.

VII. No striking of another in camp. Everyone's quarrels are to be ended with a bow and single arrow, and a blue sword. The captain of the Ship, when the Parties will not come to any reconciliation, goes to on the battleground with the assistance he thinks proper and turns the disputants back to back, at so many paces distance and word of command they turn and loose arrows, if they do not drop the bow by accident. If both miss, they come to Clashes and the Victor is declared by the one who draws first blood ( makes the other loose a limb or ''kills'' opponent.)

VIII. No man to talk to other units about brotherhood business if specified.

IX. He that shall be found Guilty of Cowardice , in the time of Engagement, shall suffer what the majority shall think fit.

 

Punishments for not following the Articles at Rivendell 

All punishments are decided upon by the ENTIRE crew except for the one who made the offence and is final, until the Lord and Captain deems fit or the punishment's duration ( like fighting with a blue for a day) is over.

1. Fighting with a Single blue for a day.

2. Fighting with a Dagger for a day.

3.Banning from Brotherhood provisions.

4.Not fighting in a selected battle

5. Not fighting with the Brotherhood in a selected battle.

6. Marooning ( Removal from the brotherhood)

7. Stripped of Rank.

 8. Moved down in rank.
